- Silence from God . . . that's what the disciples experienced immediately after the crucifixion of Jesus. If you think about it, silence from God is not all that unusual for in the Scriptures one finds more time when God is silent than when He speaks. In those times of silence, God still expects faith and obedience from His people. We often experience silence from God especially in times of testing or suffering. Maybe it would do us good as we come to the end of Holy Week—and in times of testing or suffering—to just be silent and wait before the Lord.
The Lord is in His holy temple
Let all the earth keep silence
