A week ago, Cathy and I had BBQ for
supper about 6:00 PM. I am a BBQ fan--true Georgia pork BBQ. It was
good and I really enjoyed it. But, I knew better.
Since my stomach muscles are not
working correctly, I am supposed to be on a low-fiber, low-density
diet. This way my stomach can empty in a reasonable amount of time.
BBQ, french fries, and baked beans are not on my diet, but I ate them
anyway.
Around 10:30 PM, about half my BBQ came
back undigested. Sorry for being graphic and gross, but it gets even
grosser. There is nothing I hate more than throwing-up because I
really throw-up hard. Like the scripture says, "whatever you
find to do, do it with all your might." OK, that is out of
context, but you get the point. I throw-up my "shoes."
Such exertion really takes a toll on my
muscles. This week I have had spasms and have been extremely week.
Things will get better with time.
I knew better than to eat BBQ, I did
and paid the price. Was it worth it? No!
Doctor Appointment Update . . .
I had my annual rheumatology
appointment last Wednesday. The doctor keeps check on any
inflammation issues that may arise. So far inflammation has not been
a real problem. The swelling in my legs continues and is probably
caused by medication and autoimmune issues. The rheumatologist said
it is "vascular insufficiency." My legs turn red, blue,
tan, and sometimes pallor. I think I am turning into a chameleon.
One last thing . . .
My uncle Charles and aunt Mae stopped
by today. It is always great to see them. Uncle Charles always has a
joke. Today's joke, "Did you hear about the dyslexic agnostic
insomniac? He stayed up all night contemplating the existence of
'dog' !"
