Another MG'er Gone

Here are some words from a FaceBook friend (Kerri Sweeris) about the death of another MG FaceBook friend (Julie Waters) this weekend.

"Another MG friend, in one of my online support groups, passed away yesterday afternoon. She went from FINE, to sneezing and aspirating into her lungs, to vomiting and aspirating more, to cardiac arrest in 24 hours. This disease is DANGEROUS. Those of us who have it do not want to live in fear. But the reality IS just plain scary. ..." --Kerri Sweeris

I think Kerri Sweeris put it well.

Julie was to begin IVIG treatments today.

That is very sad. I am sorry for her loss. And she's right, it is scary. You feel as if your whole life is just teetering on a tightrope. Or at least I do.

I try to tell myself to keep focused on what I can do to be well, and put the rest in God's hands. I think if I do what I am supposed to do, and I don't make it, then it was God's time for me to go. I just pray everyday he keeps me around long enough to see my kids grown and hopefully see my youngest recover enough from her Autism to be able to do the things she needs and wants to do in life. But all we can do is what we can, and put the rest in God's hands.
